F1 Go Kart Zakynthos (Zante) Ionian Islands Greece

The F1 Go Kart has created a professional team in F1 Motorsport competing in many competitions and races, the youthful duo are driver Giorgos Koronios and his co-driver Petros Sampoglou.

The paragraphs below help us to get to know the profile of the team and a little of their background.

The Driver: Giorgos Koronios is 25 years old and resides in Zakynthos. He has studied ophthalmology and works in the professional family opticians in Zakynthos.

The Co-Driver: Petros Sampoglou is 23 years old and lives in Zakynthos. He has studied electrical engineering and currently works in the area of real estate in Zakynthos.

A few words about the Driver...
Giorgos Koronios started his career in go karting in 1993 when he took part in a kart race in Aspropyrgos. Here he met Panagiotis Fampiato, who coincidently originated from Zakynthos, and from here found an interest in the races.
Today Giorgos has his own kart track on the island of Zakynthos, which works mainly in the summer months.
At the age of 18 years he switched to racing and caused a sensation with victories in the Class A level, climbing in the league in 2005 with Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI.
George Koronios prefers racing on dirt tracks as its not as predictable as the tarmac, with the dirt track you never know what is coming a round the next turn.
